alrighty. today five sa1-ians, namely tim, jas, ian, darren and me went for our class CIP at toa payoh sports complex
it was... a small group!
but we saw mr. lim run and it was worth going. hahaah
so we ran and we ran and we ran and clocked around 119 rounds? or is it 120? ah who cares.
the point is, we ran (:
okay actually we weren't running after a while, jasmine tim and darren walked
sir walked ian limped and i was watching james bond on my ipod.

today was totally fun for the five of us, namely ramandeep, shawn, allan, daniel and me (:
we went to pulau bukom today and mdm koh swee KING was so nice to join us along the trip :D

okay it started off rather boring but it got better.
we all loved the ferry ride, it was awesome :D
my good friend ramandeep didn't want to leave the ferry cause it was so comfy. hahaha
soon after disembarking, we had to off our phones. stupid govt. i'm kidding, THE GOVT IS GOOD :D

we went to the shell club and went through a lecture. we, needless to say, had a rather enjoyable sleep on the uncomfortable yet comfortable chairs.
tour of the island then followed. shawn and i waved at the construction workers. THEY WAVED BACK! nice indians (:
ah wells, allan hated the air-con, but we all loved staring at the pipes - there was like 800km of it.

and we went back to the club house again. This time, we were allowed to on our phone YAY!
and we took quite a few pictures of stupid signs. i'll post it up one day, note ONE day
then we left bukom. hahaha

ohyes, before we left, we bought mdn koh something (:
it was a child sunglass. brand? KING :D HAHAHAHA

we slept soundly on the bus back.

hello everyone!!! we've been super busy havent we. i know the hockey people are like training everyday. is season coming or something? anyway, this week marks the start of our tests for the term, realised there's a common tests at least once every week! on top of that i wonder if there'll be class tests too. would just like to wish all of us good luck! study hard cause consistency is the key to success(quote from Ms Sng the GP teacher). and although doing well in examinations does not guarantee success in life, it guarantees err... not being scolded by parents and teachers( for saying we're supposed to be the best of the best and thus should have the best of the best scores). so work hard! and play hard!
also i realised that we seem to be very lazy to go out for outings. so i propose we have an outing from school though it's infinitely hard as lots of people will have cca. i suppose friday would be the best day? those that have no cca go galavanting first and those that do can catch up for dinner? how's that sound. hope it does materialise. it'll definitely not be this coming week, seeing we have 2 or 3 tests the following week. thus i propose to have the outing on friday the 20th of April. okok?

recently, there had been alot of sports news in the world that were rather shocking.
we saw the first shock as pakistan lost to blangedesh and subsequently got booted out of the world cup.
to top it off, India did not qualify as well. following that was the death of pakistan's coach bob.
there was also LIVERPOOLS 4-1 THRASTING OF ARSENAL! all hail the great crouch who hat tricked.
in the swimming arena, michael phelps failed to make history of winning 8 gold medals at the FINA world champs after the US relay team was shockingly disqualified for jumping 0.04 seconds earlier. US was the favourites.
i'm sure there are many more to come. haha.

this blog's becoming a class sports blog. ohwells, must convert it back.
today we had a rather "fun" PE lesson! it was javelin throwing where we had to pose for a minute of two before being allowed to throw the javelin. overall, it was an enriching, uhem, experience (trying to be politically correct).

how's everyone doing? lecture only week was amazingly fun. all the bridge and stuff. sadly the next time that's gonna happen is probably never. hey everyone, it's me. I'm here to make this blog alive. ><

Lecture only week went by so fast and I'm like why won't it last longer. No longer will school end so early for us cos the timetable's so screwed up. Mugging season starts now with Project Work and lotsa sports and other competition and we still got to study. Our mean L1R5 is relatively high at 7 as compared to the scones, at 6. So yeah, we better keep up our class reputation and study smart (or mug) so that everyone gets lotsa distinctions (at least 4) at the end. For PW, I'm like damn shocked when A levels have already started after being fresh from the O levels. So, hope everyone will be satisfied with their members when we know who is in who's group and wish all of you all the best.

Allan's one lucky guy cos he made it to the final interview of the overseas attachment programme, so congrats to him. Me and the others so suay, somehow we screwed up that interview, so sian.

I thought that the MBTI can be reliable at times and not reliable at times. I don't believe that there's such thing as only 16 personality types. One reliable case is david. Yeah, I agree that he will be some CEO or something. For me, I'm like only 70% of my type, the ENTP. I'm like sometimes E and sometimes I. I can switch to S anytime instead of N. But I agree I'm more T and a total P. Yeah and I'm 'one-of-a-kind'. As this is a class blog, I shan't get too personal anymore.

The Physics Olympiad lectures is hell. I'm like in a state of disorientation. Ren Wan is like a stone and all confused. Shariff, the guy who once joined our class during the breaks in 5.7 classroom, is in shock. Matthew is like his usual self. Shaun seems to understand all the time by nodding his head the whole time. Timothy seems to be shouting silently to me that he's so puzzled by all that high level stuff. Allan justs sleeps but seems to be still alert cos he spots an error by the lecturer. Some indian scholars at the back ask many questions and seemingly understand all the abstract maths, but sometimes asking redundant questions. The lecturer at the front seems very noob. His handwriting is so darn small and untidy and I feel that he needs to do a lot of penmanship. At the end, I feel as if i learnt nothing from it. But I'm sticking with the next lectures and till the end.

The 5.7 classroom (aka gambling den) was our choice of where to spend our long breaks during the lecture only week. Bridge, asshole dai di, heart attack and snap (saralonde went on snapping spree) were damn fun. Suddenly some members of our class (including me) and our ex-classmates got mahjong crazy since the visit to tim's house.

So this is the end of my post. I've two impending questions.

Hello, SA1!

Whoa! This is my third post for today. But I must say sorry first for using the blog for my personal purpose. Hehe! On 31/3, 7pm, our hostel will be having a musical, titled: "come here, nobody knows". I'm not performing, just helping out with the stage management thingie. Uhm, from what I have seen so far in the rehearsals, it is a good musical to watch. It is written and directed by one talented person in residence. She is from the IB programme. She also composed all the music in the musical by herself. On the day of the performance, she will also be the one who will be playing the piano for all the songs. Yes, she is very very talented ... a near professional, I should say.

The musical is about a struggle between fantasy and reality and love. Love makes people stupid, love makes people evil, love makes people selfish. For the ones who yearn for that pure, unconditional love, they seek love in their fantasy and then painfully realize they will never have this love in reality. For the ones who just use love as decoration to their lives, they try to hold love tight in their hands and fit love onto their fancy dresses without knowing that they are just killing love. Uhmmm .... If you don't know what I'm talking about, you must come to the musical. Haha!

Actually, Maria and I will be having some tickets to sell. :). It goes at $8/ticket. All the money collected from the selling of tickets will go to the Children Cancer Society. I know there are a lot of people out there who are calling you to donate here and there but still, this is a chance for you to do something good and can have some benefits (entertainment).

Hmmmm, I do not think you will be much interested in this musical but I will just publicize it anyway. :D. I do not want to be scolded by all of you later on so I think I must warn you of something first. Since the performance is totally done by our residents, they are all foreigners. They do not have Singaporean accent. Yup! And this musical is more of a tragedy. Actually, it's a tragedy. There will be no parts when you can laugh throughout the musical. Uhmm ... but I still think it's deep, meaningful and it leaves you something to think about after watching it. I watched it 2 years ago, and now I decided to help out to stage it again. Yes, yes! So yah, if you are interested, can buy tickets from Maria or me. I think they will set up a ticket booth in the canteen next week as well.

hello 1sa1.
remember the first time we took a class picture together?
and mr kayden lim said something like i want all of you to see what happens to all of you after these first three months. something along those lines i guess.
at that time, i think more ppl cared whether they looked good in the photo. haha
and that particular photo was the one that everyone looked at to figure out who is renwan. cos he was missing from school during the first few weeks. it was really funny.

and poof, first three months have passed by.
we spent alot of time together compared to other classes i suppose.
breakfast/lunch/snack were all eaten together. we sat together as a class. or at least most of us did.

we went everywhere together and got scolded together.
we are 1sa1. all the teachers sort of had high expectations of us.
so when we were late for like 10-15 min, we got scolded rather badly. tsk.

durin these times, we had FUN. no one was really mugging according to what they say. some anoynomous person said "i am going to start working very hard after PAE." and, the person is ALREADY quite hardworking during JAE. haha.
well, its jae now. everyone seems to be starting the "mugger" spirit.
i see more 1sa1 people in the library now. eg. the summation epq was given a few days ago, and some ppl have already did half of it!

but i guess this is the 1sa1 thing everyone talks about.
but DO REMEMBER.. study hard. but its also important to play hard too!
hahaha

Hello, hello SA1!!!

Our class had the MBTI workshop today. Haha! It was very fun. I'm not very sure how all the class members felt about the workshop. From my observation, I guess some of you were already half-dead by the time the workshop started but Timothy, Maria and I had a good 2-hour laughing session. I think, once, I laughed .... ehhem ... uhmm ... let's say, a bit too loudly that the person sitting in front of me turned and took a glance at me :">. Hehe! I think some of the character description are very true, especially those which talk about the not-so-good sides of us, hehe ... uhmm ... a bit surprised that the trainer is the introvert type (she does not look like one :)).

What are the personality types of our class members huh? I only know Timothy is ESTJ (the type that you should cling on to during Project Work), Maria: ES?P (sorry, roommie, i can't remember you are T or F - just remember that you are the no non-sense type), Annabel: the "worldpeace", world saver type, David: the executive, Kok Hong: the protector (some deeply passionate type), Yong Ye, Ramandeep and Jia Yi ... uhmm ... I think I know your types but after my 2-hour nap, I forget already ... i'm so so sorry, hixhix ... oh! And me, me, me: the protector also. Hehe! Are there anyone in the genius and the scientist type? and the clown and the mother-hen? Hehe! Sorry, I just love to know about all the personality types of everyone ... :D

in light of the fact that this blog is dying a slow and painful death as no one blogs or tags, timothy has asked me to do the ardious task of updating this blog. frankly speaking, i'm lazy; but for this class i'll update.

today was the "very fun" science symposium where only say 7 to 9 turned up out of the class strength of er.. how much? owells. nvrmind about it. i met ramandeep, geck keat and sarah at 8 in the morning. we were the punctual ppl. around say 8.15 to 8.30, the typical "late singaporean" (sorry) syndrome reared its ugly head (why is this post so... english) as jasmine, ian, matthew came. i then went up to lt4 to seee shaun sitting there waiting. OPPS

after which we sat through hours of torturous lectures and presentation which only appealed to the ppl with IQ of 150 and above. there were "interesting" parts and free food. we loved the chicken rice. uhem.

painfully, the lecture ended and tim, ian and me left to meet jiayi, yx, annabel and eewen for jiayi's birthday party. which reminds me,

we had sakae sushi and we all loved the cwanmushi (or however you spell it)

thats about all folks.

lets consider what movies there are to watch:

the history boys, an utterly fun show IF and ONLY IF you know your history. if not, this show would be meaningless and all you'll think is its advocating gayism (or rather homosexuality and bah bah bah) together with a twist.

yet, winner of the MOST tony awards so yeah.

use economics to determine if the show is worth it if you wish, i'm not encouraging you.

During orientation, I missed SA1.
During March hols, I'm going to miss SA1 more.
To those who will eventually leave the class, SA1 will be missed forever.
We've only been 2 months together but I'm already missing the class due to events.

SA1 has made mugging, playing, talking, eating at the void deck, stoning (we rock!), travelling around school, celebrating birthdays, bbq etc. all worthwhile. So thank you sa1. I look forward to more fun, surprises and difficult times together as a class.

Anyway, this blog is in a BAD state. SO I APPEAL:

It's already after the PAE period. So all of us should buck up and stop slacking around as life will get tougher in term 2 with all the competitions. Let's cheer our athletes, musicians, debater and others I missed out on. Please write notes of encouragement to them. Encouragement works wonders. Even with competitions or external programmes such as the pre-U seminar and overseas attachment programme, don't ever neglect your studies.
